Meet the Photographer
Hey, I'm Prue.
I’m a grazier, wife, mother of two, and a passionate advocate for the beef industry. My husband and I run a small Santa Gertrudis stud alongside our commercial cattle operation, based in Central Queensland. I’m also a proud breeder of ANKC registered Jack Russell Terriers—driven by the same desire that fuels everything I do: to produce animals that are above average and highly sought after.
I’ve been immersed in the cattle industry my whole life, growing up on a beef breeding property and actively participating in junior cattle events—judging, parading, and breaking in led steers. These experiences shaped my understanding of livestock production and instilled a deep respect for stud breeding.
Through my photography, I aim to support and celebrate the people behind the cattle—capturing not just the livestock, but the story and pride behind it all.
My career has spanned several areas of the beef industry, including feedlot work, livestock agency, and rural real estate. I found my niche during nearly four years in livestock agency administration at Queensland’s largest selling centre in Roma. While I loved the pace of weekly commercial store sales, I developed a particular passion for stud stock sales and marketing—where the results of years of breeding and hard work are showcased in a single sale day.
Right from the beginning
At 15 years old I achieved Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Societies (QCAS) State Champion Prime Cattle Judge at the Brisbane EKKA. My final junior competition was the National Finals at 2012 Perth Royal Show where I was awarded National Reserve Champion Junior Parader. I was also honoured to be awarded the 2014 RJ Kleberg Memorial Youth Ambassador by the Santa Gertrudis Australia Breeders Association.
